Itinerary:
09:00am: meet your guide at the train station. Train ride from Munich to Prien / Chiemsee (approx 45 minutes).
10:00am: Walk from the train station to the pier (walking distance 1 mile / 1.7 kilometers)
11:00am: Take the boat to Herreninsel Island.
11:20am: Arrive at the island. A walk of about 0.8 miles / 1.2 kilometers will lead us to the Palace of Herrenchiemsee.
12:00pm: On a public guided tour you will visit the interior of this palace built by King Ludwig of Bavaria.
01:50pm: Take the boat to Fraueninsel Island.
02:00pm: Visit the island on a walk along the shore. A circuit tour is about 0.9 miles / 1.5 kilometers). You can have lunch there. Upon special request you can visit the monastery of Fraueinsel on a guided tour.
04:30pm: Take the boat back to Prien.
06:00pm: Board the train to Munich.
07:00pm: Arrive at Munich.
