Day 1 - Munich-Kochelsee-Lenggries
Highlights: Rabenkopf summit, Benediktenwand summit, Brauneck Ski Resort
Early in the morning we will meet at Munich train station or at your hotel to take the local train to Kochel am See. A short bus ride will take us to the start of our mountain trekking tour. From an altitude of 605 metres at Kochel am See we will walk up to an altitude of 1.800 metres (5.900 feet) at Benediktewand summit today. From there we will follow the E4 hiking trail passing the well known ski area of Brauneck to Lenggries, where will sleep tonight. At Lenggries we will have a tasty dinner at a restaurant offering local cuisine and beer.

Day 2 - Lenggries-Tegernsee-Munich
Highlights: Geierstein summit, Fockenstein summit, Aueralm mountain lodge, Lake Tegernsee
After breakfast we will walk up to Geierstein summit where we will have a breathtaking view on Lenggries. The next summit is called Fockenstein. You will have a wonderful view to the South: the Alps of Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Descending to Tegernsee we will stop at Aueralm mountain lodge to enjoy some traditional food and drinks. Next stop will be Tegernsee lake where will take the train back to Munich in the evening.

 

Important information:
- Altitude: max. 1.800 meters / 5.900 feet, diff. up to 2.000 meters / 6.560 feet
- Duration (approx.): day 1 - 9-10 hours hiking, day 2 - 5-6 hours hiking
- Fitness: day 1 - challenging, day 2 - moderate

- Skills: no fear of heights, hiking experience

- Equipment: just bring good shoes (we rent backpacks, trekking poles and so on)
- Age: minimum 16 years (families minimum 12 years)
- Group size per guide: minimum 1 person, maximum 4 persons
