Munich-Spitzingsee-Rotwandhaus-Munich
An impressiv one day tour to the scenic lake Spitzingsee and the famous Rotwandhaus mountain lodge
Early in the morning we will meet at Munich train station or at your hotel to take the local train to Fischhausen passing lake Schliersee - a scenic train ride passing typical Bavarian landscapes. A short bus ride will take us to the start of our mountain hiking tour at Spitzingsee. Starting at an altitude of about 3.280 feet / 1.000 meters we will walk to Rotwand summit (6.200 feet / 1.890 metres). You will have impressive views of the surrounding Alps. Descending we will arrive at Rotwandhaus mountain lodge where can enjoy a typical "Kaiserschmarrn" or other typical foods. To return to Spitzingsee we have different options: passing the Taubensteinhaus mountain lodge or the Maxlreiner hut. If you would like to extend the trekking tour we can pass the Soinsee and descend to Bayrischzell crossing the Ruchenköpfe summits, which are located in the next valley to Spitzingsee.

- Duration: approx 5 hours hiking
- Fitness: easy
- Skills: basic hiking experience
- Equipment: just bring good shoes (we rent backpacks, trekking poles and so on)
- Age: minimum 16 years (families minimum 12 years)
- Group size per guide: minimum 1 person, maximum 4 persons
